Distinction

Established in 1994, the School of Management's Executive MBA (EMBA) program has graduated more than 250 senior-level managers and executives. The UB EMBA program is a proud member of the Executive MBA Council, a network of prestigious EMBA
programs around the globe. We are a member of the elite AACSB accredited business programs. The Wall Street Journal ranks the UB School of Management No. 9 in the nation among schools with strong regional recruiting bases. Design

The EMBA is an intense, 22-month, weekend-format program designed for high-achieving managers who want to earn an MBA while continuing to work full-time. We purchase your books, give you a university e-mail account, handle your parking permit, register you for classes and even provide breakfast and lunch on class days. Our focus is on customer service, so all you need to think about is your academic work. This design allows you to focus on your career and earn a degree without having to make compromises for either.

Excellence

Although the "E" in EMBA stands for executive, the "E" could also stand for excellence when describing the practical aspects of the MBA program. From our world class faculty to the international residency experience, the program prepares individuals for the demanding challenges present in the global business market place. The Emotional Intelligence component includes personal coaching to strengthen you both personally and professionally, allowing you to adapt and succeed in current business situations and establish a successful career for the years ahead.

Leadership

The EMBA program is designed to transform executives from everyday managers to dynamic leaders. Students entering the EMBA program typically have 10-14 years of work experience, have already attained a position of influence within their own right, and regularly contribute to the strategic development and overall success of their organizations. Because of the level of experience of the participants, students benefit not only from the experience of the school's faculty, but also from interaction with each other, drawing upon one another's talents and abilities.
