Search SOM

The University at Buffalo School of Management provides an opportunity for seniors and graduate students to enroll in the Credit-Bearing Internship Program. This course allows students to earn 3 college credits by combining the practical experience of an internship with knowledge gained from the classroom. Students will be registered and graded (P/F for undergraduates or S/F for graduate students) based on his/her performance at the internship site, as well as on academic assignments. Students are mentored by a skilled supervisor that is dedicated to the student’s professional development. For all of our internship opportunities:

  • There is a skilled supervisor who is acts as a guide/mentor, and is dedicated to your professional development.
  • The project has a definable goal, is challenging, and allows you to apply what you learned in your management courses.
  • The focus is on learning in your field as well as providing a service to your supervisor.
  • Less than 20% of your work should be clerical in nature.
  • Students must be in good academic standing to participate.
